Franklin Area School District is proudly offering a new, flexible learning option for students and families this fall.
Available for grades K-12, students attending Franklin First Learning Academy will benefit from a 100% online, digital curriculum and full support from dedicated teachers provided through our district.
Unique online learning that meets the
changing needs of the school community
Students attending the Franklin First Learning Academy will receive FASD credits and an FASD diploma. K-12 learners can opt to enroll full-time in the Academy or to supplement their course schedule with an online course, receiving the same high-quality instruction as students attending traditional district schools.
Courses will be provided by StrongMind, an organization with a 20-year history of providing research-based and state standards-aligned courses for online schools and their students around the country. All courses engage K-12 students with:

- Project-based learning
- Opportunities for collaboration among teachers and students
- Full reporting and tracking, with unique views for administrators, teachers, parents, and students to keep everyone informed and involved in the learning
To assist the youngest learners and their families, StrongMind also includes robust family/coach learning resources designed specifically for K-5 students which include:
- Printables to reinforce concepts
- Activity suggestions for extension and enrichment
- Materials lists for lessons

- And more!
